The Shadow Gathering
November 11-13, 2016
The wheel of the seasons turns and we enter the dark times of the year. Surrounded by rough winter winds and deepening shadows we are called to gather in the warm embrace of fraternity. Darkness + light and joy + sorrow are locked together in opposing and supporting embraces. At this gathering we will explore and celebrate the shadows that we too often hide.
This gathering is conceived as a small (35 faes) urban event with participants together in the day and at home (or billeted) at night. Together we will manifest a strong vessel to separate ourselves from the mundane world. In order to maintain a strong container and avoid the distractions of the city, participants will be expected to be present for all of the gathering. We envision exploring our shadow selves through ritual, heart circles, mind circles, multi-generational dialog, dancing, chanting, singing, and exploring intimacy through cuddling, play, and hidden erotic energy. Other workshops may include a death cafe, living life to its fullest by embracing mortality, honouring and celebrating our dead, and telling the stories of our lives.
Time– Friday November 11, 1PM until Sunday November 13, 7PM
Place– The Dusty Flowerpot, 2050 Scotia Street, Vancouver (rear entry)
Cost– $100.00/fae. Limited Faerie Fee Funds are available
Food– Friday night pot luck dinner, Saturday and Sunday lunch and dinner provided
This will be an alcohol and substance free event.

The deadline for registration is Friday October 28. If you are sending your registration from a distance please email Duke at firstname.lastname@example.org to give him a heads up when you mail it.
